    noun

    A magical Korean word that can morph from "older brother" to "boyfriend" and even "male acquaintance" with astonishing flexibility.

    Lee Jung: Oppa (brother), I have a date tonight with Jungkook Oppa (boyfriend). I will be late to home.

  • Gallbladder

    noun

    An organ that stores bile, but out of the blue turns into a drama queen and starts creating excruciatingly painful gallstones. Like the appendix, a common way to deal with this organ is by removing it.

    Raj: "What a delicious pizza! Hmm…"
    Raj's Gallbladder: "I think it's time to make some stones!"

  • Hypochondriac

    noun

    A person who freaks out over every minor paper cut or ache and is convinced it’s the start of something catastrophic in their body. Google’s favourite customer and the doctor’s recurring headache.

    Josh: "Doc, I sneezed twice today. I think I might have... er... African trypanosomiasis?"
    Josh's unlucky Doctor friend: (visibly irritated) "I checked you already. It's nothing. You googled random nonsense again, didn't you?"
    Josh: "What about the rash—"
    Doctor: "From your new detergent!"
    Josh: "But Google says—"
    Doctor: "You are a hypochondriac with way too much free time. Now get out before I diagnose you with Acute Doctor's Rage Syndrome! Trust me, you don’t want to Google that one!"

  • Duty Doctor

    noun

    A mythical nocturnal creature who roams the hospital corridors at night, feeding on coffee and paperwork, with a super specialisation in staying awake to sign all the discharge papers.

    I’m the duty doctor. If you see me stumbling around, it’s either from lack of sleep or too much coffee.
